My name is Jill Haldeman. I have been a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church since I was an infant. Through the years, I have served our church in many different ways; taught Sunday School, served on Church Council, served as Sunday School Superintendent, Senior Choir, Outreach & Fellowship, organize the birthday/anniversary socials, youth group advisor, assist with children’s programs, etc. Our church is very special to me and my family. The staff and teachers are very educated in our faith. Everyone at our church is welcoming to newcomers. I am now serving as the fifth/sixth grade teacher. I am very excited about this position. I plan to teach the youth about our church and how it works and teach them about our Lord in a fun manner. We also use the “Spark” curriculum. Occasionally, we take “field trips” around the church to familiarize and teach the children about the various areas and items around the church and what they mean. We also read stories and engage in activities/crafts related to the topic of the week. Our class also helps lead worship by singing in church, at the 10:15 service, periodically, as well as, participating in special programs throughout the year.
